Philosophy
I believe that my number one role is to protect the athlete potential injuries and lessen the risk of those injuries. It is important to understand that each athlete is going to be different. They are going to all have different needs and I must possess the skills necessary to protect each and every athlete. It is my job to ensure that each athlete is given the best medical care possible and that their overall health care comes first over anything else. It is my job to ensure that they are in a situation to succeed in life both on and off the field during athletic competition, but also later in life. I will provide quality health care that keeps this in mind.
Vision Statement
As an athletic trainer I shall provide quality health care for all athletes that I come in contact with. I will help to prevent, evaluate, rehabilitate, and educate the athletes that I work with so that they can participate to the best of their ability and remain safe and hopefully injury free while participating in their sport of choice.
Mission Statement
I, Justin Segotta, as an athletic trainer I will provide education, injury evaluation, injury rehabilitation, and injury prevention techniques to my athletes to keep them in top physical and mental shape so that they may flourish in the athletic endeavors. Athletes will also have access to therapeutic modalities to aid in injury prevention and rehabilitation. Athletes will have access to quality orthopedic physicians as well as the ability to access radiological studies in a timely manner. The overall goal of the sports medicine program is to keep athletes healthy and competing a high level.
